NORTH COUNTRY THEATRE PRESENTS "A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY"

MASHAM: Town Hall

WED 19TH NOV, 2014 7.30pm

"A haunting evocation of a past time" - The Spectator

An artist and an archaeologist, recently released from the horrors of the trenches, find themselves working side by side in a North Yorkshire village.

What they slowly uncover is an ancient village mystery, hidden passions, and the healing power of a month in the country.

North Country Theatre created the first stage adaptation of J.L. Carr's prize-winning novel in 2002. By popular demand they are touring it again in Autumn 2014, to mark the centenary of the beginning of the First World War.

Though we can't promise you Colin Firth and Kenneth Branagh (who starred in the film adaptation of A Month in the Country), with North Country Theatre you are guaranteed wit, invention and imagination as this moving story comes to life on stage.
