Last.fm/Presents are very excited to give you one of their most prolific line-ups to date. Appearing exclusively for Last.fm for one night only will be the inventors of Kraut Rock - Faust. Key figures in 20th century music, Faust are responsible along with Kraftwerk and CAN for practically re-inventing rock music in the early seventies, their influence can still be found in the music of modern-day innovators such as Holy Fuck, Quiet Village, Animal Collective and many more.

Virtually imprisoned by Polydor in their own studio for two years, they were able to revolutionize the whole process of musical production; they improvised with Industrial noise, generated bizarre hypnotic grooves, indulged in shockingly wilful studio-based collages, and dabbled with every conceivable musical genre, sometimes simultaneously! Every now and then they found time for a burst of satirical pop, or occasional waves of delicate ambience. Amongst those Faust have strongly influenced include Brian Eno, Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire, My Bloody Valentine, Julian Cope and a whole host of Industrial and Techno bands.
As usual Last.fm have picked out support from their music hype chart and representing what’s hot on Last.fm at the moment is Ulterior. Having ripped apart the Astoria during their recent stint supporting The Horrors, their full on assault of synthesised strobe electronics and screaming guitars has drawn comparisons to Suicide, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Spacemen 3.
