Shaylyn celebrates the evolution of Irish dance from earliest beginnings in ancient Ireland to the present day.
Demonstrating how the events of history have impacted on and shaped our music, dance and song and our own changing attitudes to these traditions. Shaylyn brings together the best of traditional dancers, singers and musicians from the central border region for this exhilarating two-hour show with dances set to soul stirring music, songs that illustrate the changing mood of times past and a story to make you proud.
Give us two hours we'll give you 4000 years of music, song and dance in Ireland.
Shaylyn provide a unique platform creating opportunities for musicians, singers and dancers to increase their skills shared performance. The Shaylyn Group Ltd project is working to establish and promote the central border region as a recognised 'centre of excellence' in Irish dance, music and song and encourage our communities to place a higher value on our traditional performing arts.
