St Eugene's Brass and Reed Band, Omagh welcome their guests, St Mary's Brass and Reed Band from Kingscourt, Co Cavan, to Strule Arts Centre where this impressive local band have become regular entertainers.
Being in existence for 124 years St Eugene's have become a loved and admired band, reflected in the success and attendances at their concerts.
St Mary's was founded in 1916 and boasts in the region of 70 members spread between senior, intermediate and junior bands. Their senior band will make the trip to Omagh accompanied by their majorettes. The band will be conducted by Mr Sean Brennan who is a former member of the famed Artane Boys Band and is now an assistant Conductor with their senior band.
In order to maximise the musical experience, further guest artists will be announced in the near future. Both bands will deliver repertoires to ensure lovers of good music will come away well satisfied with the night's performances.
The music on the night will range from traditional marches to songs from the shows and there will be an underlying Celtic theme.
