COLLAPSING CITIES + MAXFIELD + SAUL ASHBY + ELLIE LAWSON
£6 ENTRY WITH ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO THE KIDS

Check out some of the capital hottest new bands and enjoy the warm glow that comes from knowing that you are making a difference.
Help us tip the karmic balance in favour of the kids from Kibarani; a district perched on the edge of Mombasa's vast, humid, rotting municipal dump. It's the poorest part of one of the world's poorest cities. No one has a job, there's no clean water and most days most people go hungry.
Some volunteers recently set up a school in Kibarani. But to have a real chance of making it out of Kibarani these kids need emotional support to get over the trauma of life in the dump. Every penny from this night will go going towards providing a councillor to help to give the kids some much needed care and attention, to listen to their problems, guide them away from drugs and violence and prepare them to face the challenges of an uncertain future.

Helping us Tip the Balance are:
Bouncing along on infectious rhythms COLLAPSING CITIES marry post-punk sensibility with great pop hooks reminiscent of bands like Pavement. Having toured with Black Kids and White Lies, Collapsing Cities are a live act to be reckoned with, filling venues with melodies that will leave you in no doubt why they are one of the most exciting new bands around.
MAXFIELD are exploding onto the British music scene with off-the-wall charisma, ruthless ambition and killer tunes. Add to that their energetic, exuberant, sophisticated yet chaotic performances that leave you breathless, you will find yourself inevitably drawn into the sounds of Maxfield.
ELLIE LASWON is an artist whose compelling voice and rich sonic landscape reflects a life journey of personal determination and self-discovery. Born in South London, the vocalist/lyricist/musician/ composer has invented a unique musical world that is both beat-driven and organic, lyrical and edgy, thoughtful and entrancing.
SAUL ASHBY grew up in London listening to an old plastic radio, his mother's vinyl, and the sound of his father's broken guitar. Having always loved how honest songs impacted the people around him, he has been on the move for the past 4 years , but is now back home in London producing the kind of melodic heart wrenching music that is both good for the soul and for the ear.
