Really small venue!! Don't miss this intimate show...


* Nick played his first professional (paid!) gig in 1977 at The Roxy Club in London.

* He appeared on several DIY Punk releases between 1977-1980.

* Nick began writing & recording as King Hammond in 1986 at the same time
he was the bassist in Bad Manners & Busters All Stars.

* The first song he recorded as King Hammond was "Skaville UK" which was later covered by Bad Manners & released as a single in 1989.

* "Skaville UK" was also featured on the Bad Manners album "Return Of The Ugly" which Nick co wrote & produced.

* King Hammond's debut album "Revolution 70" was released on Bluebeat Records in 1989 to great great critical acclaim & can now can be seen on E-Bay commanding a price of 60-80.

* Nick left Bad Manners in 1991 & joined The Selecter staying until 2006 producing 6 albums for the band.

* In 1992 Trojan Records released "Blow Your mind" a 25 track King Hammond compilation album.

* Over the next 20 years Nick worked with & produced music for Prince Buster,
Laurel Aitken, Rico Rodrigeuz, Dave Barker, Judge Dread, Rhoda Dakar, & in 2003 Lee 'Scratch' Perry with whom he won a Grammy award for his work on his "Jamaican ET" album.

* In the same period Nick also recorded music for films, TV & computer games.

* Nick was an original member of 'acoustic supergroup' 3 Men & Black alongside Jake Burns (SLF), J.J. Burnel (The Stranglers), Bruce Foxton (The Jam)
& Pauline Black (The Selecter) producing the outfits only album "Acoustic".

* After 15 years in The Selecter Nick leaves & forms Skaville UK who have to date released 4 CD's... "1973", "Decadent!", "Devil Beat" & "S.U.K. Live!".

* In 2010 Nick decided to record & release "The King & I" the first new
King Hammond record in 21 years!

* Since then Nick has issued eight (8!) albums on his own label & has taken
the King Hammond live show to (amongst others) America, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Germany & of course the UK.

* 2014 saw Nick join up with Jake Burns & Roddy Radiation (The Specials)
to record a charity single "Get Specialized! (A Rock & Roll Prayer)" to raise
money & awareness for The Teenage Cancer Trust.

* "The Life & Times Of A Ska Man" is the name of Nick's one man show that he has been touring around the UK since 2009

* There is also a critically acclaimed album of the same name.
