Join Harbour Song Records and The Pink Flamingo Club for a special evening of music at the intimate Fishermen's Chapel in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
Headlining our evening is Neil McSweeney, M G Boulter and Lucy Farrell. All respected songwriters and musicians in their own right, the trio will be using this show to launch their new EP ‘Lulu the Bear and Other Songs'. Neil McSweeney is one of Sheffield’s most loved songwriters having produced a catalogue of albums and toured with Bellowhead and Richard Hawley; he is an engaging performer whose songs affect the heart. M G Boulter is an Essex based singer songwriter who is the lead singer of Southend band The Lucky Strikes as well as releasing his own solo records. He is also a prolific session musician on the Americana and folk circuit having played in the Simone Felice Group for some years. Lucy Farrell is one of English Folk’s most respected artists and counts herself as a member of such seminal groups as The Emily Portman Trio, Carthy, Hardy, Farrell & Young, as well as The Furrow Collective. The trio will be collaborating for the first time at this special show.
Support will come from Mick Terry, a London artist who writes heart rending and soulful pop tunes taking on both the funny and challenging sides of growing up in east London. Currently working on his second full length album Mick organises the famous Super Stereo Sessions night in Wanstead with close collaborator Mick Wilson of 10cc.
Join us after the show for a pint in a nearby pub with the performers. Soft drinks and Pink Flamingo mocktails will be available to buy on the night alongside a bounty of Harbour Song Records releases.
