A Japanese double bill! Lite are an instrumental, math-rock outfit from Tokyo, who have blown away audiences in Brighton on each of their previous visits. Their new album (Phantasia, on Transduction Records) is an aural armageddon, taking the hairs-breadth precision playing of earlier releases (breath-taking enough as they were) and shaping their sound into some of the heaviest and most astonishing music we've heard in recent years. Quite literally, awesome!

Support 54-71, are also from Japan, and are described as having "the tightest rhythm section in the world". They've been invited to support The Roots, Deerhoof and Unsane - we picked those three as an indication of what 54-71 sound like. The closest we've come to hosting a rap act, but so much more than that!
