Another Cowboy & Bucketfull of Brains present:

A CELEBRATION OF THE PAISLEY UNDERGROUND –

Featuring:

Sid Griffin (London via Kentucky and LA)

alt.country founding father Sid Griffin dusts off his electric guitar and revisits his back pages with a full-band set of Long Ryders tunes. Yes, you heard it - no bluegrass, no Dylan talk, just the finest electric-country-punk’n’roll including ‘Looking For Lewis & Clark’ in all its glory. I said a Louie, Louie, Lou!

The Plastic Pals (Sweden)

Anyone who could imagine Chris Spedding fronting Television would understand. Magic melodies with a dark edge from this power pop/ garage/ psyche band from Stockholm. New album Good Karma Café features former Green on Red keyboard maestro Chris Cacavas. Manna from guitar heaven for all Paisley fans and lovers of the Velvets, Only Ones, Flamin’ Groovies and the West Coast-meets-CBGB beat

Caramel Jack (Brighton)

Rare London show by the experimental and inventive pop collective with a bravura disregard for convention. A stripped-down CJ play songs from their acclaimed new LP 1900 and a sprinkling of lost 80s gems.
With few resources and no popular acclaim to lean upon, they're a fat cow pie more satisfying than Handsome Family, Willard Grant’s clan or the Calexico crowd….occupying the same expansive, piano-led vaudeville-tinted universe as Howe Gelb – Drowned in Sound
“The diversity is mind-spinning: country-folk to chamber-pop to burlesque with hip-hop beats - Uncut

Saltflat (West Midlands)

In a previous life Saltflat’s Neal Cook supported Green on Red, the Dream Syndicate and the Triffids with his band the Wild Flowers. Taking inspiration from those 80s greats Saltflat add a dose of No Depression poignancy to the mix and create a heartfelt and intense brew. This is the Black Country quartet’s London debut.

Billy & the Scapegoats (London)

For one night only - a special one-off collaboration between the Tailors and Will Treecreeper as two of London’s finest songwriters pay tribute to some desert rock visionaries from Tucson

Cervantes (London)

Otherworldly film soundtrack composer Cervantes doffs his cap and slide guitar to enigmatic space cowboy David Roback
