"You want the world, yeah, well I want the action.
Don't blame me 'cos you're not the attraction."
The Revellions were forged amidst a haze of frustration and red neon lights
early in 2006. Almost immediately they hit the Dublin music scene with all the
vigour of a garage band in heat.
Since then they have played to the loving patrons of London's most prestigious
garage-rock club, Dirty Water, Eyes Wide Open at the Glasgow Barfly, Beatnik
Soul in Derry and Louie Louie in Gijon, Spain.
In late 2007 the men recruited the newest Revellion, a wailing blues singer
named Al Moore. They quickly whisked him away to Cirrco Perrotti studios in
Spain to lay down some tracks for their debut album, produced by Jorge Explosion
(Dr Explosion) and Mike Mariconda (The Raunch Hands).
With a pounding rythm section, a swirling farfisa, skuzzy'n'sleazy guitar
and a psychotic vocalist that screams like a drunken banshee, The
Revellions know how to keep it primitive.V ery fast, very loud, very
cool.
