Mark Holub – Drums
New Jersey born drummer Mark Holub is best known as the leader of punk-jazz quartet Led Bib. With a front-line that includes altoist Chris Williams, they are one of the hardest hitting and most inventive jazz bands around. A regular fixture on the London scene, they have also toured extensively in the UK and Europe.
Colin Webster fronts brain scrambling, and genre-melding London Electro band Chik Budo, which Chris is also a member of. Colin is also a regular at European and International Festivals as part of Anthony Joseph and The Spasm Band.
The newly formed trio of Webster, Williams and Holub creates incredibly intense and ferocious improvisations, with squalling noise juxtaposed with stark harmony, and percussive onslaughts.
Also featured this evening is the incomparable Tuba virtuoso – Oren Marshall. Oren’s trio Lift Technology includes acclaimed trumpeter Jay Phelps and Shaney Forbes on drums.
