As if proof were needed that The Brook is THE eclectic venue. Award-winning trombonist Dennis 'Badbone' Rollins is one of the most talented and charismatic frontmen in all of jazz and his groove-based sextet Badbone & Co is widely recognised as the funkiest, most irresistibly dance-friendly group in the UK. Indeed Rollins is so funky that ex-James Brown star Maceo Parker asked him to join his band!
Special guests the The Subb Zero Funk Unit based here in Southampton has taken the funkiest players from their uni big band and formed a funky combo specially coached for the occasion by 'Badbone' himself.
