Its not Blues,it's not Folk, its not Rock and it's not Country.
Steve Gifford walks onto the stage cradling his Lowden Electro Acoustic and meanders between songs which reflect the true simplicity of a personal and intimate life to raising the decibel reading with some edgy dynamic driven guitar, powered up to even greater heights with some help from his REM style back line musicians.
Whilst his "My space" success rock ballad "Devils'Daughter",still on the lips of an ever growing web site fan base,Steve introduces the new Grafitti song,"Art of the Street "and "Real World" about teenagers growing up in the 21st century, into his 2009 set.
On the back of the truly successful "Boy on a beach tour" 2008,Steve prepares to illuminate Oxford on a "ONE NIGHT" gig to a vast growing UK following.
His song writing is both inventive and progressive and whilst his songs are considered to be nearing full maturity there is still more creative out pouring to come, all to be packaged and sealed in a new forthcoming album to be released in late spring 2009.
The Jericho needs no introduction as a compelling atmospheric venue .This gig is awaited with eager anticipation and high expectation and is surely billed as one of the 2009 highlights.
Lovers of Steve Giffords' self styled "New electro acoustic" singer song writer will be treated to a massaging of the 5 senses in which his undisputed animated stage performance dazzle even the hardest critics in a growing world of song writing talent.
Special guests "Transient Few " from Wendover bring a wonderful contrast to the evening. Not shy of stunning performances in the local area, the "Transient Few ",Bev and Sarah, bring beauty and talent to the stage.
Armed with electric guitars, they can rock it up with the best of them .
