Despite featuring Thomas White and Paul White of The Electric Soft Parade and former British Sea Power keyboardist Eamon Hamilton, Brakes have established themselves as a musical force entirely in their own right.

With two critically claimed albums under their belt – 2005’s “Give Blood” and 2006’s “The Beatific Visions”, both released on Rough Trade – their eclectic mix of Indie, Punk and Eels-esque off-kilter eccentricity has won them a legion of fans on both sides of the Atlantic, neatly demonstrating that this is much more than a side-project.
