The Stone Saloon
Hailing from Cheltenham ,the band are on a massive tour at the moment and we are really pleased they’ve agreed to play for us in Oxford. Someone with an inability to be concise summarised their sound as “Southern-fried amalgam of rockabilly, boogie, country, blues, rock’n’roll, swamp pop and gutsy folk”. We say think The Black Crowes meets Paul Weller. Building a reputation as a must see live act they’ve already played The Cavern in Liverpool and Madame Jo Jo’s in London.

Tristan & the Troubadours
Rising stars of the Oxfordshire scene, who were recently selected by Radio One as finalists to play at the Underage Festival. They play beautifully crafted pop tunes packed with “giddy youthful exuberance” which are both dense and diverse. Their sound gives equal weight to piano, violin and guitar. The seven-piece’s sound defies pigeon holing (anywhere between Belle & Sebastian to Velvet Underground) and are very much the sound of tomorrow, right here, right now.

Winners of Nightshift demo of the month in April 09 and handpicked to play this year’s Punt. The female fronted four piece pack a powerful indie pop punch, with a varied sound from Foals to Blondie!
