Best known as one half of Britain’s much loved rock pop combo Supergrass, Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey have now teamed up with world renowned producer Nigel Godrich to bring you The Hot Rats.

With the initial idea of simply throwing themselves together into the studio to see what would happen, they are currently in the process of creating their own ‘Pin Ups’ style versions of some of their favourite classic songs celebrating some of pop and rock’s greatest artists over the last forty years.

With whispers of Pink Floyd, Roxy Music and the Beastie Boys floating up from the dark recesses of the studio, this latest Goffey/Coombes side project is born out of a true love and respect for their rock heroes and is set to be a corker.

This is not the first time the duo have worked in this capacity. Gaz and Danny took on the shady characters of Duke Diamond and Randy Hoo Ha (AKA The Diamond Hoo Ha Men) when bassist Mick Quinn suffered severe back injuries after a fall. The duo played songs from the 2008 Supergrass album ‘Diamond Hoo Ha’ to delighted young crowds in clubs across the country.
