Event information

An extended programme that brings together a series of fresh faces from across the continent. Alban Darche’s French trio arrives at the Vortex as part of Zoom!, an initiative connecting a number of established collectives throughout Europe. They are joined from Estonia by UMA - an unconventionally beautiful combination of guitar, trumpet and the rarely-heard corno da cacccia. The completely original sound of Paolo Angeli’s Sardinian guitar creates unclassifiable music, suspended between free jazz, folk noise and minimal pop and the bill is completed by a group led by Polish vocalist Grzegorz Karnas.
