Massive respect to everybody who came down to our 5th Birthday event last month where we played host to the first Hospitality Reading event. The Night was an absolute roadblock and was officially Bar Mangos busiest night in the history of them being open. This month we come with 2 godfathers of the drum and bass world in the form of DILLINJA, and Dread Recordings head honcho RAY KEITH who will be dropping some of the many dubplates he has forthcoming next year in a special 2 HOUR SET. All this with guest mc RHYMES.

Support comes from residents KBASHA AKA “the filthmaster” and Linus who after tearing the roof off bar mango last month with his 3 deck 5 years of Bassment set will be warming everybody up into a frenzy. We are also welcoming our friend from LOWDOWN the very successfull free entry Saturday night affair at the purple turtle, DJ DYNAMIC. Vocal support comes from Flewid, Focus D & Chalkie “i like to take my top off in public”.

Garden Duties as always are being taken care of by the Resonance Crew who will be doing a special 5 HOUR BACK TO BACK dubstep rinseout with dj’s Autopilot:on, Underhand Tactics, Advocate & DR Hugo. And mic duties are taken care of by Danny C & B3

Arguably the most prolific producer within the drum and bass scene (with over 500 releases produced since 1991), Karl Francis AKA Dillinja subsequently set up Valve Recordings in partnership with long-term collaborator Lemon D (Kevin King), with whom he also designed and built the Valve Sound System. Dillinja will be performing an all out assult on your ears when his tearing basslines rip through Mangos soundsystem.

Ray Keith DJ, Producer, Remixer, Record Label Head Honcho, Radio & TV Presenter and well-known counterpart in the UK and World Wide Music Industry has been on the Dance Music circuit for at least 15 years. Born in the heart of Essex, Colchester, Ray started his career in small venues around Essex, gradually building his name and venturing into bigger clubs around London. After finding his niche within the Drum and Bass music scene in the early 90s he managed to notch up two of the scenes most memorable releases of all time The Renegade Terrorist and The Chopper. Ray set up his record label Dread Recordings in 1994 and hasn’t looked back. Now up to it 55th release and a decade later the label is still going strong and has lead to many collaborations with many artists such as Shades Of Rhythm, Moby and Orbital to name a few. Over the years Ray has also kept his ear to the ground by working in London’s most famous record shop, Black Market, making him a good all rounder in the Music business. Previously he has worked on Kiss FM and Radio Ones, 1 in the Jungle radio show but has finally come back to his roots by securing a weekly spot on South East popular radio station Vibe105-108fm and his viewer base is continually expanding. Rays musical taste are from Soul, Funk, Hip Hop and even Classical, these styles have always influenced his dexterous style of production. Making him one versatile individual.

A dynamic, versatile talent, breaking through the Drum and Bass scene. Nominated for numerous Drum and Bass awards in the last two years, his talent sees no boundaries as Rhymes AKA Rhymestar does not restrict himself to one genre. Dubstep, Grime, Hip Hop are all genres that Rhymes is involved in, whether at shows or on tracks. Renowned for being able to entice the crowd with his unstoppable flow, catchy and meaningful lyrics, he also aspires to be an innovator in the industry, producing, and currently working on his forthcoming EP, as well as featuring at every major events all around the UK and across Europe working in countries such as Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Romania, Italy, Poland and Greece. You can also listen to Rhymes on the pioneering, multi award winning Kool Fm. The future is definitely bright for this young talent so if you haven’t heard the name already get to know!
