Ian Shaw
A solo evening from Ian playing music from his recently released new collection – 'Somewhere Towards Love' (Splash Point Records) – including songs by Nick Cave, Fran Landesman and Noel Coward.
One of the more flamboyant exponents of cabaret jazz, with which Vortex regulars will be familiar, this is Ian in a more introspective mood. 'Greta Garbo-like, star qualities seem to flourish in solitude (City Life).
