BBC Radio 2 DJ Dermot O'Leary is the latest high profile fan of Emily Barker's song Nostalgia, which was adapted for the title music to BBC1's highly-acclaimed drama series "Wallander" starring Kenneth Branagh. The Bafta-winning theme music emanates from the Emily's much praised album "Despite the Snow" released October 2008, since when, Emily and her band of phenomenal players have embarked on successful UK and Australia headline tours.
The seasoned four piece have now begun the recording of album number three, in a cozy studio in Bow, East London. Expect a raft of sublime acoustic vocal music, drawing you in to a world that celebrates the sheer pleasure of song writing and ensemble playing. These four women love the music they create together, drawing on country and English-folk roots, performed with that effortless sun-kissed class that could only come from a young Australian singer-songwriter.
