Building on the first ever COHESION festival last year Oxford Improvisers are pleased to announce a very strong line-up for the 2008 event…
Saturday 15 November 3pm : a given space
Twelve musicians and performers working out of many musical traditions and none. Small group and large group performance to make up "a given space"

Ken Vandermark / Barry Guy / Mark Sanders
& Oxford Improvisers Orchestra
Chicago based saxophonist Ken Vandermark is simply one of finest modern jazz players around; Barry Guy occupies a pivotal role in contemporary European music as both improviser and radical composer; drummer Mark Sanders is a master of polyrhythmic-into-free playing. This evenings concert is the culmination of their national tour including a performance in the London Jazz Festival.
Last years performance by the twenty strong Oxford Improvisers Orchestra was described in the Oxford Times as “like biting into a fresh watermelon on a hot day”
