Aussie comic BRENDON BURNS is an Edinburgh Fringe Award Winner, cult legend on the world comedy circuit, he has done some TV and has released several chart topping DVD's, pretty much every comic on the world scene has a funny Brendon Burns story, so why isn't he better known? In this show he addresses exactly why he has managed to remain a painfully anonymous figure in the UK (the country where he is actually based!) as well as his recent discovery that he is partially deaf.

Brendon has performed for over two decades at every major festival around the world and has performed on every continent in the world except the Antarctic (gig pending).

This is not your everyday comic. His energy is enticing; his turn of phrase is course yet oddly eloquent, whilst he himself somehow remains fully accessible and intensely loveable. Never pompous and ever self-deprecating he just somehow seems to get away with murder. Not so much a “truth-sayer” but a traditionally harmless and inclusive warm-hearted court jester. His influence is ubiquitous throughout the stand up world. Often replicated but never matched, his shows aren’t just extended sets, Burns specialises in creating experiences: forever experimenting with the form and throwing himself new challenges.

We are very pleased to have this show as part of the NEATH COMEDY FESTIVAL 2014

‘Not only has he been pushing back the boundaries of taste for years, I’m quite certain he has no idea where they are.’
Jimmy Carr

‘Check out this Aussie gobshite.’
Ricky Gervais

‘His peers are not other stand ups but more from the literary World. Burns is the William Burrows and Charles Bukowski of stand up.’
Guardian

AL LUBEL is a legend in his native US. After winning the $100,000 prize on 'Star Search' he has appeared 5 times on the 'Late Show with David Letterman', was one of the last comics to appear on the 'Tonight Show' with Johhny Carson and has provided Tour Support for Bill Hicks and Jerry Seinfeld.

Al took the Edinburgh Fringe by storm in 2013 with his award-winning Edinburgh show ‘Al Lubel is Mentally Al’ which mesmerised audiences with his stunningly well crafted and self aware observations.

Well Al is back in the UK in 2014 for his new show. Bob Dylan said of his last album, "Tempest," that he didn't make it for the public, he made it for himself. Well, similarly, Al didn't make, "I'm Still Al Lubel,' for the public, he made it for himself. He hopes he likes it.

Al is a terrifically funny comedian.” David Letterman

“Al Lubel’s Edinburgh debut has to be one of the funniest shows of the Fringe.” ★★★★★ London Is Funny

“Al Lubel has one of the best jokes I ever heard.” Jerry Seinfeld

As seen on 'ITV’s Stand-Up Hero' and Comedy Central’s 'The World Stands Up', ANDREW WATTS has a distinctive style and very original material.

While the former lawyer turned comedian is undeniably posh, Andrew is so irresistibly likeable he invariably wins a crowd over as he canters through challenging subjects like an apologetic comedy tsunami. He is also famous for once buying lavender from a drug dealer in Brixton!

His previous two Edinburgh Fringe shows were critically acclaimed so his 2014 offering, 'Feminism for Chaps' has been eagerly anticipated. Until recently he did not realise that he is in fact a feminist, so in this show he uses his trademark intelligent wit to explore how chaps like him can change the world for the better.

“An enticing blend of honest storytelling and dark humour” (Independent on Sunday)

“exquisitely funny” (Time Out)

"Lovers of stand-up laced with a cerebral cutting-edge should flock to his show" (Three Weeks)

Show features support by Mark Hurman and is compered by Paul James.

Bringing down the curtain on this year's Neath Comedy Festival is Canadian sensation Wes Zaharuk. Wes is a one-man tour de force, known to combine routines with power tools, bananas and film noir. You could just call him plain daft, others have compared him to Tommy Cooper on acid but this award-winning show has earned him a world-wide reputation for his tornado-like approach to comedy.

Wes is a regular on Canadian TV and a stint on the Las Vegas strip introduced him to the US audience where he quickly became a smash with comedy club and festival crowds. Now he works in the UK where crowds are quickly seeing what all the fuss was about on the other side of the Atlantic.

“Twin Peaks meets Cirque du Soleil.” Toronto Sun

"Adrenaline-rush joy-ride into utter foolishness." Toronto Star

"A rip-roaring jump into the surreal." Channel 4
