Our booker Simon has a brain condition called Hydrocephalus, which causes fluid to build up on the brain and is treated by inserting a small valve called a shunt to drain it - http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Hydrocephalus/Pages/Introduction.aspx.
In addition, Jess from Carolyn's Fingers was treated on A4 after being struck down by Guillain Barre Syndrome a couple of years ago, so we're really gunning to raise as much money as possible as a thank you for the superb care we've received!
Having experienced the dedication and hardwork of the Addenbrookes neuro team on several occasions in recent years we wanted to do something to give a bit back, so we're running a few fundraising gigs with all proceeds going to the department, via Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust - Making a Difference for Patients (ACT). We hope you can make it help us raise some money while watching some awesome acts!
