The Rheingans Sisters are Rowan and Anna Rheingans, who are primarily fiddle players and singers. Incorporating traditions from across Scandinavia, Britain and America, they play both traditional and contemporary folk music. Between them, they additionally play banjo, english concertina, cello and bansitar, and use these to create a distinctive experimental tone to their music.
"The best music is played in the moment, when the musicians are leaning into each other and outside of themselves. [Glad Gold Hearts] is a lovely, evocative piece of work.” (Bruce Molsky).
"A duo of considerable abilities and imaginations to match"(* * * * Songlines)
" Their fiddles are right in your face and the soul of the music palpable "( fFroots)
" Bold, fearless, honest, fiddle-driven folk, rich in Scandinavian, American and English influences" ( Proper Music)
