The Rattle Shakers– R N b infused Garage punk n roll, frenetic but fun, do  surf, garage and mod/freakbet covers as well as their own originals sounding like Downliners sect via Dr Feelgood.  Much joy.. Nash- Some great singalong choruses on show here, built outta groovy little Britpop meets ’60s workouts part Blur, part Small Faces, and some quirky knowingness lifts the vocals into something artful and alluring. Neat. Lots of hooks. Asher Baker– ‘acoustic/punk’ is the ting…even though there’s plenty of loud rock guitar… punk pop taking on a lot of that U.S post Green Day type feel and some kick ass lead guitar wibble… but the songs are strong and there’s an organic acoustic feel mostly…acoustics… Mark Nelson-  singer-songwriter/musician from Southern England with a difference.…. in that he does it all with one arm!’… yes- he was born with one arm but found a way of playing guitar, one-handed, when 13. Following many years as a guitarist/songwriter in The Poppyheads, Nelson Romeu, Supersmiler and Slinki Malinki (once managed by the legendary producer Gus Dudgeon) . Sounds akin to Richard Hawley via George Harrison, a crafted well spun set of thoughtful and alluring tunes avoiding MOR-ness by being nicely spaced and organic sounding, good stuff. His latest, second, solo release “Out in the Sunâ€out now. The Lunar Effect– psych rock stonerisms to the fore and all fantastically well performed, proper hairy rocknroll, yes Lord.
