Event information
Southampton was in the front line of defence during the dark days of the Second World War, the home of the Spitfire made it a target for the Luftwaffe, and medieval vaults became air raid shelters as the town turned itself into a military port preparing for D Day.
These walks are being delivered in partnership with the Nuffield Theatres & their world premiere production ‘Shadow Factory’ with a chance to see the accompanying exhibition about the staging of the Howard Brenton production about Southampton’s wartime story.
