MEAN STREETS TOUR 2019

40 Shillings on the Drum are hitting towns and festivals all over the UK in 2019 for a variety of acoustic and full band shows and festivals. To kick things off, along with promoting their brand new single, the Mean Streets tour will take place throughout March and April. Get ready to rock!

Pass the whiskey, it’s the Shillings' St Paddy's Shindig!

A night of live music, hosted and headlined by 40 Shillings on the Drum, with performances from extra special guests, Drusila and Park Avenue.

We will also be filming the final footage of our upcoming music video!

The scenes will involve a bar brawl between the crowd and the characters in our video. We’ll want a handful of people to be directly involved and plenty of others just to add to the atmosphere.

If you’ve ever wanted to be in a music video or a bar brawl, now’s your chance!

ABOUT THE BANDS

40 SHILLINGS ON THE DRUM

Off the back of performing at Beautiful Days festival alongside the likes of The Levellers, Manic Street Preachers and The Hives in August ‘18, Brighton-based 40 Shillings on the Drum topped off a successful year of festivals and tours by supporting punk legends, UK Subs.

The band are now looking to 2019 with the release of brand new single, ‘Mean Streets’. Recorded at Brighton Electric (Royal Blood, The Cure) and produced by Tom Gleeson of Feeder, the song strips away their folk-roots and pushes the band in a new and unique direction. The single will be released on 5th April 2019 and will be followed by the band’s debut album in late summer, also to be produced by Tom Gleeson.

DRUSILA

Blending influences of Electronica, indie rock, and 80s synth-wave, Drusila is a duo that demonstrates an ability to create music to dance to as well as something reminiscent of the ‘Drive’ Soundtrack.
Having only formed at the beginning of 2018, they have established themselves as one of the most impressive live acts to come out of Portsmouth. Their live performances are theatrically mesmerizing and they plan to take their show to new territory in the near future. Their new single ‘Want You’ gives a good taste of what is to come for this exciting new duo.
