This concert features music from the latest CD of fiddle-player Giles Lewin (Bellowhead, Maddy Prior), who is joined by Hinny Wass: violin (Jez Lowe, Bottle Bank Band), Jane Griffiths: viola (Owl Light Band), Barney Morse-Brown: cello (Duotone, Eliza Carthy) and singer Vivien Ellis (Synfonye), in a programme of dances and songs from the time of Playford and Purcell.
Performing a range of settings for string quartet and other instruments, Time’s Chariot will transport you back to the London of Pepys, with some unexpected stops along the way.
