A beginner’s guide to marketing your act online and contacting comedy promoters with Jo Duncan.
Jo is a Bristol-based former comedian and marketing person (don’t say ‘guru’ 🤢). She runs digital agency ‘Lean Content’, has written 3 books on marketing and did the odd bit of stand up in the past. She was Funny Women’s ‘One to Watch’ in 2016, but is now busy growing babies.
Expect tips on how to craft the perfect comedy email, how to build a comedy marketing list and guidance on using social media without losing your marbles.
Even if you're not up for that:
Meet like-minded women with a passion for comedy, learn how to generate material through improvised comedy, share scripts, sets, jokes and ideas from comedians currently performing on the circuit, and find support as you take those next steps in the world of comedy.

SHOWTIME: 8.00pm, FREE!
Funny Women knows that comedy can be scary, so this night provides a platform for women to get on stage and perform comedy for the first time. Even if you're already a regular on the circuit, Time of the Month is a great night to try out new material in front of a warm and supportive audience.
