Gig Buddies Scotland are celebrating our launch in Glasgow with a fully accessible gig, in partnership with Independent Venue Week, featuring local artists of all abilities at the Glad Café.

Gig Buddies is a project that pairs people with learning disabilities with volunteer buddies to go out and do the things they both enjoy. We work with our members, volunteers, and venue partners to foster a more inclusive society through our pairings, social events, and gigs. Gig Buddies Scotland has already been fighting for the right to party in Edinburgh and the Lothians for 3 years, and we’re ready to gie it laldy on the west coast.

Independent Venue Week is a 7-day celebration of independent music venues all over the UK. It is a nod to the people who own, run and work in them, week in, week out, and the incredible work that these people do for their local community of artists, crew and gig goers.
