Event Information

Step back in time and discover Southampton’s past at our online history club! Each session explores a different historical theme; from marvellous medicine to fantastic fashions, through activities, stories, crafts and quizzes. The sessions are planned with 7 – 12 year olds in mind, although children of different ages may also enjoy them. Each session is available to book individually – or you can book all six and receive a 20% discount. Please see below for a full list of sessions:
Monday 19th April- Marvellous Medicines: Starting with Ancient Greeks and ending with penicillin, discover how our ancestors used to keep themselves, or not keep themselves, healthy.
Monday 26th April- Fantastic Fashions: Discover why those in the past were actually dying to be beautiful.
Monday 10th May- Freaky Food: Let’s look at the past and discover why the Roman’s thought dormouse was extremely yummy.
Monday 17th May- Creepy Castles: Investigate the history of castles and discover they were more than just a posh pad.
Monday 24th May- Gruesome Crime & Punishment: Grim and brutal, join us to discover how even talking too much could get you into trouble.

Tickets are required for each device being used to access the event, although we are very happy for the whole family to participate on each device. As with all our children's activities, an adult will need to stay close at hand throughout the class. Tickets are non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled by the organiser.
