I’m delighted to welcome the marvellous, madcap and crazily inventive Pantaloons Theatre Company back to Billericay on Thursday 23 December 2021 (hot on the heels of their wildly popular Pride & Prejudice) to perform a brand new adventure that’s part supernatural time-travel heist, part seasonal sequel – and all unasked for.

Ebenezer Scrooge is a changed man…

Having given away too much to charity he is now caught between the dangerous loan shark Mr Hardplace, calling in his debt on Christmas Eve, and the evil orphanage mistress Mrs Rock who plans to force children into deadly dangerous factory work on Christmas day.

Scrooge’s only hope is to recruit his old friends – the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future – to bring down Hardplace’s criminal organisation and liberate the children of Rock’s orphanage before it’s too late.

COVID-19 There will be a reduced number of people in attendance as we seek to follow government guidelines which may still be in place in December.

HOW TO FIND US Emmanuel Church can be found on Laindon Road, CM12 9LD and is a 10 minute walk from Billericay station (25 mins from Liverpool Street). We are only 5 mins off the A127 and 10 mins off the A12.

PARKING You can park in the Emmanuel Church car park

GENERAL SEATING Emmanuel Church is theatre style with excellent views ‘in the round’.
