Irish born Heidi Talbot became well known in the US as a member of Cherish the Ladies but now lives in Edinburgh, teaching yoga in her spare time. With a background like that, it's hardly surprising she should develop a style that switches easily between Celtic and Americana, but subtlety is Talbot’s magic ingredient. From her “mesmerising” and “intoxicating” gossamer voice to the delicate re-working of traditional and contemporary material that has earned her rave reviews for her records and live performances.
Heidi is a warm and engaging performer and over the past twenty years has performed all over North and South America, the UK, Ireland, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, in the finest Concert Halls and International Festivals. She is equally at home in front of a Symphony Orchestra, a Performing Arts Center, a Folk Festival or even at the White House. She has shared the stage and recorded with Mark Knopfler, Graham Coxon (Blur), Eddi Reader, Idlewild and many more.
Heidi recorded four solo albums while signed to Nashville-based record label Compass Records. In the last four years she has recorded three more solo albums on, Under One Sky Records. Her new album 'Sing it for a lifetime' sees Heidi going transatlantic, an unconscious return to the style of her early years.
For this show, Heidi will be joined by Jennifer Austin (keyboards), Innes White (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Jack Maher (acoustic and electric guitar, vocals).
