Cromford Creative Business Breakfast Network Meeting is on Wednesday 13th October at 08:30am. Held in the Visitor Centre below Cromford Creative, there will be general networking with a small talk by Richard Pigott, Director at Planning and Design Practice Ltd.
The title of the talk is: 'An overview of Permitted Development Rights for householders.'
With a synopsis as follows:
In the last 18 months many of us have sought to adapt and improve our homes in response to changing work and living habits. Permitted development rights allow the improvement or extension of homes without the need to apply for planning permission. These rights have become more and more extensive in recent years and potentially include additional storeys, large domestic outbuildings and 8 metre deep rear extensions.

Richard Pigott, a Chartered Town Planner and Director at Planning & Design Practice Ltd will guide you through these changes, explain where and when Permitted development rights apply, and explain the differences between PDRs, planning permission and building regulations.
