Event information

Flights of Helios present 'A VERY PSYCHEDELIC XMAS', one night of gloriously mind-expanding rock and electronica. The ideal festive night out!

MANDRAKE HANDSHAKE
"Skittering rhythms, bloody synths and psychedelic harmonies" - The Independent
“Spiritual exploration with a dose of fervent psychedelic-pop” - So Young magazine
“Brain-melting new tune produced by Andy Ramsay of Stereolab” - NME, ‘Gonkulator’ single review

Oxford’s conquering psychonauts! After a wild summer of festivals including Manchester PsychFest and Rotterdam’s Left of The Dial, the self-dubbed “flowerkraut” 9-piece bring their ‘60s-drenched cosmic pop and coming-of-age psych rock to the Bullingdon. In their words: “This was music to dance to with wild abandon or, to meditate on - a fluorescent soundtrack for private investigations of the mind’s inner-worlds.” Their brilliant debut EP ‘Shake The Hand That Feeds You’ is out now via cult indie label Nice Swan.

FLIGHTS OF HELIOS
Oxford's 7-piece space cadets providing intense psych-jam torch songs. As played on BBC 6 Music by Steve Lamacq, Don Letts and Gideon Coe.
"Sonic experimentation has become their trademark" - The Line Of Best Fit
"Musical grandeur that echoes the more expansive works of Radiohead or Pink Floyd" - God Is In The TV
"Anyone who has caught the band live will know that they can be truly transcendental" - Nightshift

AFTER THE THOUGHT
After The Thought makes ambient music for confusing times... Described as "electronic cloud-gazing" and "fantastically moody soundscape[s]", ATT takes influence from the likes of Eluvium, Tim Hecker, Sigur Ros and Nils Frahm to build evolving worlds of texture and space. Latest album 'endless' was released into the bleakness of May 2021 and Nightshift had this to say - "Seriously, stick it on the headphones and everything bad in the world will go away."
