DG Solaris (Danny Green, formerly known as Laish) and Jeremy Tuplin have been making and releasing albums in their own right for a number of years, only vaguely aware of each other's existence.
One night in Peru, following an intense shamanic ceremony, Danny had a vivid dream that he and Jeremy were floating high above the ocean. The next morning he contacted Jeremy to share this strange astral encounter and a new correspondence began. Inevitably the idea to write a song together emerged. A global pandemic created a new challenge to their project but sure enough, four songs of psychedelic folk emerged which have been released one by one during 2021/2022 via the French, Groover Obsessions label.
Press response to DG Solaris/Laish:
MOJO "Beguiling songs of love"
Rolling Stone "Wondrous folk pop ballads"
The Line Of Best Fit 'Green’s infectiously charismatic delivery make it a wholly uplifting experience."
Folk Radio UK "DG Solaris have concocted a heady brew that refects their own journey, a salve for the soul."
Press response to Jeremy Tuplin:
The Independent "A dreamy, ambling trip with a smattering of celestial embellishments."
Loud & Quiet Magazine "9/10 - The craftsmanship is self-effacingly brilliant... some of the year's most poignant songwriting"
The Line Of Best Fit "9/10 - Bill Callahan on Shrooms."
Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6 "Unconventional, conversational and intimate."
