Fizzle Meets Club Integral Midlands Branch: Solos, A Duo and A Trio

Club Integral Midlands Branch returns after more than two years away! We are delighted to be back at The Edge, joined by our friends at Fizzle www.fizzlebirmingham.com.

Together, we've co-curated a bill of solos, a duo and a trio making improvised and experimental sounds on strings, brass, electronics and miscellaneous musical instruments. Ubuntu Foods will also be with us, for a delicious dinner option.

Come along to hear and see:
Semay Wu
Aaron Diaz
books x Haunted Screen (visuals)
Sarah Farmer, Rachel Musson and Angharad Davies

We highly recommend taking a lateral flow test to check you are C-19 negative before attending. Masks are also welcome.

Some more about the performers:
The trio of Angharad Davies, Sarah Farmer and Rachel Musson is being launched especially for this Fizzle Club Integral collaboration. Sarah plays with Angharad, Angharad has recently started playing with Rachel, so we thought they would make a great improvising trio.

Semay Wu (sē mā wo͞o) is a composer, cellist, media/sound artist and improviser. Her influences are drawn from electro-acoustic experiments and improvisations in sound and visual worlds. Semay likes to mash disciplines together and her projects range from DIY solo experiments, to gathering stories from the community for an online audio cookbook, to producing instructional documentation of situated experiences. Current pandemic musings focus on the sense of play through different expressions such as explorative drawing, a tie to the graphic score. On this night, Semay will play an assortment of intimate sounds (inc. cello) through pedals to create a tactile and close environment.
