We are proud to present a unique concert bringing together the Oakham Choral Society, Rutland Choral Society and a professional orchestra in a programme of peaceful remembrance under the baton of Director of Music, Peter Davis. Our commemorations of the music of Vaughan Williams continue in his 150th anniversary year, presenting his moving choral work Dona Nobis Pacem and the ever-popular The Lark Ascending, played by Oakham’s Head of Strings. Movements from Karl Jenkins’ contemporary classic, The Armed Man, complete the programme, which also features acclaimed Old Oakhamian professional singers.
