Franklin Bruno is a veteran independent songwriter based in Queens, New York. Some of his songs are pretty, and some are arty; some are political, and most are sad. He spends a lot of time on the words, and the chords.

In the 1990s, Franklin was one-third of Nothing Painted Blue, and a core member of the lo-fi/cassette scene around California’s Shrimper Records. Since then, he’s made several solo records, written, recorded, and toured with The Mountain Goats, Laura Cantrell, The Schramms, and Tsumani/Jenny Toomey (with whom he made a single for wiawya’s 2014 7-inch), and currently fronts The Human Hearts. He is also the author of the 33 1/3 volume on Elvis Costello’s Armed Forces, and a poetry collection,The Accordion Repertoire.

Robert Sekula is the guitarist and songwriter of 14 Iced Bears, the psychedelic indiepop band from Brighton who released a handful of singles, including "Come Get Me" on the influential Sarah label, and two full-length albums: the eponymous 14 Iced Bears (1988), and Wonder (1991)
