Nigel Firth used to write songs and break things in popular Reading group Vienna Ditto and now he has an EP of danceable material out in his solo guise as The May, with all of the gear but none of the soul of his previous project.

It has thus far been described as ‘furiously inventive uber-wonky techno’ by the good people at Nightshift Magazine, which made him think that maybe it wasn’t wonky enough. The Rhythm EP is an attempt to remedy this…
