Event information

Thokozile was formed in 2010, after a British Council cultural exchange project with South Africa (when those things still happened...). It has developed a growing following with its upbeat, melodic and powerful sound that draws on African rhythms and township music. The band is led by Dan Somogyi (keys, gtr), with Terry Quinney (sax) [you will remember him from his 2021 Stan Getz tribute], Rob Palmer (gtr), Jack Shaughnessy (bass) and Neil Evans (drums).
