After a break of nearly five-years we are very pleased to welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter Sean Taylor back to the Red Lion.
Sean is a modern day troubadour in the folk blues tradition. with a modern twist.
Red Lion regulars will know that Sean is a great performer with his intricate guitar work, thoughtful lyrics and entertaining stories between songs.
His most recent album "The Beat Goes On" was recorded during lockdown and was highly acclaimed. Amercana UK described it as "an album that oozes quality and laid back gorgeousness – a perfect antidote to the current travails"
Sean will be joined by Mike Seal on the double bass and Paulina Szczepaniak on percussion
Opening the evening we are pleased to welcome the Ondines to the Red Lion. They are a six-piece all female indie/bluegrass band from Southend, with an undercurrent of tongue in cheek Estuary punk. They are strong on sisterhood and harmonies, backed by keys, bass, guitar and percussion.
This promises to be a great evening of live music.
Doors open 7.15pm with the music starting at 7.45pm
