Guitar prodigy Artie Zaitz leads a group of London's most grooving, swinging musicians in a new quartet featuring winner of BBC Young Musician of the year Deschanel Gordon on Wurlitzer Electric Piano, notable youngbloods Lorenzo Morabito on double bass and Jack Thomas on drums. They will be presenting original music by him as well as members of The Banger Factory label.
Coming from a family of musicians, Artie was exposed to the sounds of jazz from an early age. He developed a particular interest in recordings from the Blue Note label which has had a profound influence on material currently performed with his groups. Artie has been working and recording on the London and international scene for over a decade with artists such as Moses Boyd, The Banger Factory, Camilla George, Maisha, Theon Cross, Jordan Rakei and Tom Waters Electric People to name a few.
