Two of the finest instrumentalists in traditional music combine to bring a tour de force of breathtaking performances, which first started in lockdown with a video that was an international internet sensation.

Will Pound – Harmonica, Melodeon
Jenn Butterworth – Guitar, Voice

A chance meeting at a folk session in 2018 led to Will and Jenn’s music travelling around the world as a viral TikTok sensation in lockdown. In their live shows they play a game of ‘musical cat and mouse’; improvising and responding to each other, weaving virtuosic performances that are unique and in-the-moment as only two musicians highly accomplished in their craft can produce. Their debut album, Volume 1 was recorded live, over two days in Glasgow, and released on 24 February 2023.

Annie Dressner:
Since moving from her hometown of NYC to the UK twelve years ago, singer-songwriter Annie Dressner has garnered rave reviews for her recordings and live performances.

From her debut ‘Strangers…’, her EP ‘East Twenties’ and her second full-length ‘Broken…’, Dressner has gone from strength to strength. Her straightforward lyrical style, sharp ear for wordplay and crisp, lilting vocals offer listeners a front row seat to her stories. Her music has drawn comparisons to an up-tempo Mazzy Star, an understated Jenny Lewis, Soccer Mommy & Phoebe Bridgers.

Annie’s songs have received considerable airplay on Radio 2 and 6 Music (Gideon Coe, Tom Robinson, Steve Lamacq, Tom Ravenscroft) and Radio 1 via her cowrite with Saturday Night Gym Club ‘The Nowhere Team.’ She released her third studio album, ‘Coffee At The Corner Bar’ with producer Paul Goodwin in 2020. Along with a set of new original songs, the album includes a Magnetic Fields cover & a co-write with Matthew Caws of Nada Surf. She is currently set to release her fourth studio album in 2024.

Venue Access - Hallé St Peter’s has three floors (Basement, Ground Floor, First Floor). Each floor has level access and can be accessed via staircase or a wheelchair accessible passenger lift. Seating Non-fixed cushioned seating is available throughout.
