Event information
Bertie Armstrong, Merle Harbron and Holly Clarke are polished,technically sound and match their lovely vocals together into precise three part harmonies. Their tight vocal harmonies sour through tales of wilderness,Spanish Kings and US Foriegn policy and steer the emotional journeys in the songs they play. The Reivers combine the traditional styles of Old time banjo, Scottish fiddle and the Ballad singing tradition, as well as bringing forth their own compositions that have been deeply influenced by these traditions. They choose their songs well but sing them even better. Storytelling and anecdotes gel their sets well and above all they entertain.
