We're beyond delighted to be working with the amazing, mad, brilliant Mumbles on their debut album 'In the Pocket of Big Sad', and we're heading to the fantastic space of New River Studios in London to host a FREE single launch for the first 'proper' single from the record, 'Everything Just Sprawls'.
I say first 'proper' single because we're today sharing single 0 - 'Towards a Universal Theory of Gender' an 18 second taster of what's to come, about which the band say 'Deeply stupid and deeply unhappy, single 0 ‘Towards a Universal Theory of Gender’ is an 18 second paint-splatter/wrist exercise/tantrum, arguing gender is an irrelevant concept when we’re all just so dang sad. It may also be the only grindcore track with a bass clarinet in it. The neon carnage of Joshua Roland’s video echoes both the album’s domesticated internal strife and the track’s shoutout to Alison Rumfitt’s trans haunted house masterpiece ‘Tell Me I’m Worthless’ in one big PS1-era meltdown.'
The album is a remarkable, beautiful, raucous, insanely ambitious masterpiece, and we ca't wait for everyone to hear it. And we've stacked this single launch bill with pals/superstars - Garden Centre, Dream Phone, and Gross Misconduct.
This will be a free show, but you'll need to get a free ticket to ensure entry. It's 18+, and the venue room is wheelchair accessible.
