In one review of her acclaimed 2022 album Peaceful Place, Joy Ellis was described as “an exquisitely talented performer and composer.” She is a pianist and singer whose music is gorgeously rich and melodic. Those who enjoyed Yetii at Off the Rails in October 2023 will appreciate her immersive, meditative style, imbued with classical flourishes, as she interacts creatively with the other long-standing members of her trio - Adam Osmianski on drums and Henrik Jensen on double bass.
