On Saturday 6th April, we are ludicrously excited to welcome Norwich-based post-hardcore heroes FEMME DÉ to The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds. Formed in 2021, the band quickly gained a reputation as a formidable live act, summoning the intensity of early Refused, the idiosyncratic atonality of Fugazi’s noisiest moments and the feel-good swagger of modern pop-infused hardcore acts like Turnstile; their debut release '38' and recent EP 'Gums and Teeth' have received enthusiastic support from BBC radio as they continue to bring post-genre experimentation into the punk maelstrom at their core.

Support comes from the similarly pigeonhole-defying genius of JADED TEETH (featuring members past and present of Slughouse and Substation), explosive punk trio MANIC STANLEY, instrument-mangling heirs to the Sonic Youth guitar-meltdown crown SPLINTERS, and sensational song-weaver FRANKIE.

All ages are welcome. Under-14s must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

There is a fully-licensed bar on the premises. No ID, no alcohol.

THE HUNTER CLUB IS A SAFE SPACE
We take audience safety very seriously at The Hunter Club, and strongly believe that gigs can and should be safe spaces, free from harassment, intimidation, prejudice, bullying and violence. We expect that all artists, venue staff and attendees will respect our values, and we have a zero tolerance policy towards those who do not. Anyone who endangers the enjoyment and safety of others at a Washing Machine night will be ejected and barred. It is unfortunate that in 2024 we still have to say this stuff, but we hope that by doing so we can help to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and able to enjoy themselves.
