Very excited to be bringing Nathy SG to town for the first time with his new band! You'll know Nathan from Martha/Onsind/Fortitude Valley, and he's joined by a supergroup made up of members of Fortitude Valley/Tigercats/Honey Joy/Supermilk. There's also a new single out today, 'soft rains (thigns fell apart)' about which he's said the below:
"I’ve put another nathy sg song online - it’s called ‘soft rains (things fall apart)’ and it’s about the end of the world. It’s inspired by a 1950 ray bradbury short story and also just like, everything, I guess. It’s only 1:27 long so why not stream it twice? I’m not selling it in any physical format rn but if you like it and want to support me, give it a share I suppose, or come see us on tour. Link in bio etc. ???

???The song was recorded / produced by my diy punk grandad brother-in-arms Jake Popyura (@supermilk4u). We recorded the bones of this one and three other songs in one of the practice rooms at @newriverstudios on a very hot day last July. @jasonwaterf4lls played drums and @charliejamison played bass. Backing vocals were by @lauraak. Neil Combstock at @rockinghorserehearsalrooms did some additional engineering. The song was mixed and mastered by the legend @richmandell. A joy to work with- bands: make your next record with him. ???
And supporting we’ll have emo synth pop darlings Spring Major and indie poppers HööF - two fab locals, one fab bill!
FYI the gig will be all ages with under 14s accompanied by an adult, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
