Quentin Collins - trumpet, Tim Lapthorn - piano, Oli Hayhurst - bass, Gary Willcox - drums
This Quartet comprises some of the UK's most respected musicians. Quentin Collins is currently a member of the Kyle Eastwood Band and tours extensively with them. Tim Lapthorn has been the pianist of choice for artists such as Ian Shaw, Polly Gibbons, Arnie Somogy. Oli Hayhurst is one of the busiest bass players around and has included Julian Seigel Qrt, Zoe Rahman & Pharoah Sanders on his C.V. Gary Willcox has been a member of the Way Out West collective for 15 years and is currently a member of Loz Speyer's Inner Space and Chris Biscoe's Mingus Profiles. They will be playing a mixture of standards, arranged by themselves, plus music by the likes of Freddie Hubbard and Joe Henderson. Expect music in a contemporary 'straight ahead' style with flavours from the masters of the 1960s.
